Licensing Plan
ActiveProtect Manager enables you to group multiple backup servers into a cluster (known as a site) and designate one ActiveProtect Appliance as the management server. This management server centrally manages all backup servers and protected workloads within the site. By default, each site supports up to three backup servers (including the management server) without requiring any additional licenses. If you need to add more than three backup servers to a single site for centralized management, you must purchase an ActiveProtect License Pack.

  • Each license pack includes a single license key. A license key can be activated on only one Synology Account and assigned to only one site at a time.
  • Once activated, ActiveProtect licenses are non-refundable.
  • ActiveProtect licenses are subscription-based and must be renewed upon expiration.
  • Please refer to the appliance specifications to determine the maximum number of backup servers that each ActiveProtect Appliance can manage.

Subscription Term: 5-Year Subscription

Other Conditions (Agreement)

  1. The Company reserves the right to disclaim any liability arising from typographical errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in printed or published materials.
  2. The Company reserves the right to change prices, product information, and promotional offers without prior notice.
  3. In-stock items will be delivered to the customer within 7 business days.
  4. Pre-order items require an estimated delivery time of 7–60 days, depending on the reservation queue and product allocation for each shipment.
  5. For pre-order items, the Company reserves the right not to accept order cancellations or refund deposits under any circumstances, except where the Company is unable to fulfill the order.
  6. Estimated delivery times for pre-order items may be affected by force majeure events, including but not limited to international shipping disruptions or customs clearance delays. The Company will provide customers with periodic updates on the order status.
